World wide payments system Visa has partnered up with Ethereum scaling organization ConsenSys to speed up the adoption of central bank digital currency (CBDC) networks by bridging the hole with standard economic establishments.
Sooner or later, Visa’s head of CBDC Catherine Gu said, people globally can use their CBDC linked Visa card or wallet by any of the merchants where by Visa is approved. In a Q&A with ConsenSys she reported:

The CBDC Payments Module is intended as an insert-on for CBDCs to existing payment networks, Gu stated. Banks and issuer processors can effortlessly plug into the module and integrate their existing infrastructure, she mentioned.
Visa has presently lined up some intensive pilot testing with central financial institutions, starting up this spring.
