Rare but serious

These are uncommon. Knowing the warning signs means you can act quickly if one ever applies to you.

  • Pancreatitis

    When to get help: Severe belly pain that will not go away, sometimes felt in your back: stop and call your prescriber right away.

  • Thyroid warning

    When to get help: A lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, or trouble swallowing or breathing: tell your prescriber.

  • NAION (eye)

    When to get help: Sudden vision loss or a dark area in one eye: get urgent care the same day.

  • Gallbladder

    When to get help: Upper belly pain, fever, yellow skin or eyes, or clay-colored stools: call your prescriber.

  • Dosing errors

    When to get help: Severe nausea, vomiting or low blood sugar after a dose: call Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222.
